PIR motion monitoring tag
The ZARC PIR tag reports when a person or animal moves within its field of view. Set the hours a space should be empty, and movement inside them raises an alert in real time. It runs on its own battery and needs no wiring, so it goes into plant rooms, compounds and empty buildings where running cable for a detector is not worth it.

What it reports
A passive infrared sensor responds to the body heat of something moving across its view. The tag reports that movement as an event, not as a continuous reading.
Schedules decide what matters. Movement in a plant room during working hours can be logged quietly, while the same movement at night alerts at once.
It gives presence and intrusion awareness. It is not a certified intruder alarm, and it does not replace one or its monitoring.

Applications

Where it can go
The tag mounts where it can see the space, and it needs no wiring. Typical positions:
High in a room corner
Covering a room, store or plant room.

In the dashboard
Every monitored space shows its live state and a full history of movement, with the time of each event. The dashboard counts movement per hour, day and week, shows quiet periods, and flags any movement outside a space's permitted hours, per site or across an estate. History exports for security records, audits and insurers.
Alerts are pushed in real time on movement outside the hours you set, or on any movement at all. They go by email or SMS, and through an app where required, to the people you name, with escalation to further contacts.

How it reports
When movement is detected, the tag sends the event over 433 MHz radio to a ZARC gateway, which passes it to the dashboard, where it is checked against the space's schedule and the alert is raised. The tag transmits and never listens, so there is no receiver for anyone to reach or reprogramme over the air.

What does it detect?

Does it see through glass or walls?
No. Glass and walls block the infrared it senses, so it is mounted with a clear view of the space.
Is it an intruder alarm?
No. It gives presence and intrusion awareness in real time. It does not replace a certified intruder alarm or its monitoring.
Can alerts depend on the time of day?
Yes. Schedules set when movement is expected. Movement inside those hours can be logged quietly, and movement outside them alerts at once.
Will a busy room flood me with alerts?
No. A re-trigger interval stops it reporting every step, and alerts can be limited to hours when the space should be empty.
What about animals?
Animals give off body heat too, so position and coverage are set at the site survey to suit the space.
Does it work outdoors?
Yes, in an enclosure specified for the location.
Does it need mains power or wiring?
No. It runs on an internal battery for up to five years, depending on activity and the check-in interval.
Can one dashboard cover many sites?
Yes. Every monitored space on every site reports to the same dashboard.
Do alerts or extra users cost more?
No. There are no per-alert, per-user or licence charges.
