The ZARC crystal motion tag reports the moment something it is fitted to is lifted, moved, tilted or knocked from its position. Fit it to a fire extinguisher, a defibrillator cabinet or any piece of equipment that should stay where it is, and an alert arrives in real time when it is disturbed. It runs on its own battery and needs no wiring.

A crystal sensor inside the tag responds to movement of the item the tag is fixed to. When that item is lifted, moved, tilted or knocked, the tag reports the event straight away, so the people responsible know it has been disturbed.
Sensitivity is set per tag. A heavy cabinet that should never move can alert on the smallest disturbance. An item that is often brushed past can be set to ignore a knock and report only a real lift.
Each event is timed and logged. The record shows when an item was disturbed and how often, and schedules can treat a movement during working hours differently from one at night.

Anything that must stay where it is, and must be there when it is needed, can report when it is disturbed. These are the uses we are asked about most, and the list is not exhaustive.
An extinguisher taken from its bracket and not put back, or discharged and returned empty, leaves a gap nobody sees until a fire. The alert shows it was moved the day it happens. Complementary to routine checks and servicing, never a replacement.
A defibrillator lifted from its cabinet may be in use or may have been taken. Either way, the people responsible know at once.
Kits that are opened and never restocked are found wanting at the worst moment. Movement shows they were used and need checking.
Equipment kept ready for one day is only useful if it is still there on that day.
Instruments, cabinets and fixed equipment where a movement means tampering or an unauthorised change.
Where a magnetic contact cannot be fitted, such as a roller shutter or an irregular hatch, the movement of opening it can be reported instead. Where a contact can be fitted, the door state tag is the better choice.
Items on display or in storage that should never be lifted outside set hours.

The tag fixes directly to the item it watches, so it moves when the item moves. It is small, runs on its own battery and needs no wiring. Typical fittings:

Every item shows its live state and a full history of each time it was disturbed, with the time and how often. The dashboard works out which items are disturbed most, which have been moved and not settled again, and which moved outside their permitted hours, per building or across an estate. Records export for safety records, audits and insurers.
Alerts are pushed in real time on any movement, or only on movements outside the hours you set. They go by email or SMS, and through an app where required, to the people you name, with escalation to further contacts.

When the item moves, the tag sends the event over 433 MHz radio to a ZARC gateway, which passes it to the dashboard and raises the alert. The tag only transmits; with no receiver on board, nothing can alter its settings or reach it over the air.
